Administrative Secretary  /  Pam Sossamon

Pam was raised in Mt. Pleasant but left to find the bright lights, big city of Dallas, TX and Las Vegas, NV as a singer. She toured Internationally in Hong Kong, China, South Africa and all over the United States. Eventually she decided that Dorothy was right and that there is "no place like home". So, back to North Carolina she came. Pam met Rob Sossamon in 2004 but soon found out that he was the same fellow she had a crush on in high school. "He didn't have grey hair back then so I didn't recognize him".  Actually, Rob was in high school, Pam was in the 8th grade so he didn't know she was in the world. They married in 2005 and "Grammy Pammy" became step mom to 2 amazing daughters and now 5 grandchildren.

Pam owned and operated "Carolina Bridal Fair for many years until COVID shut everything down. As an escape, Pam started painting household items and selling them on Etsy. Her shop "Almost Famous Gift Shop" keeps her busy with orders, especially during Christmas. But, serving here at Roberta was a happy surprise for her. "It never really dawned on me that I might want to do this job until it was offered to me. Now, I'm happier than ever."

Although she considers her best gifts to be in traditional worship, she enjoys blending in some contemporary from time to time.  Planning worship is a passion for her because she wants her music to help bring people closer to God in the services she plans.

Children and Youth Director

Position In transition

Custodian  /  Wayne Goodman

Wayne was born and raised in Concord, NC and his wife Debbie was born and raised in Charlotte, NC.  Both their parents loved movie stars, so Wayne's name is actually John Wayne (named after The Duke) and Debbie was named after Debbie Reynolds, which is why her legal name is Debbie and not Deborah. They are also known as Pepaw and Memaw by their 11 beautiful grandkids ranging in ages from 5 months old to 16 years old!  Wayne is a retired truck driver of 33 years and Debbie is an Assistant Teacher at Harrisburg Elementary School Kids Plus where she works with first graders. They feel totally blessed to be part of Roberta Church!
