Music Ministry
"Come, let us sing for joy to the Lord;
let us shout aloud to the Rock of our salvation."
- Psalm 95:1
Adult Choir
The Adult Choir at Roberta Church is more than just a group of singers; it’s a family united in faith, fellowship, and worship. Our mission is to lead the congregation in worship through song, inspiring spiritual growth and offering beautiful music that praises God.

We aim to:
-
Lead the congregation in uplifting song.
-
Perform music that inspires and challenges us to grow musically.
-
Foster faith and spiritual growth as a small group.
-
Offer heartfelt music to praise God and encourage the church.
Our time together—during Wednesday rehearsals and Sunday services—is filled with joy, support, and shared prayer. We laugh, pray, and work together to bring others closer to Christ through music.

You don’t have to be a perfect musician to join—just a heart ready to praise God. If you're looking for a place to connect, grow, and sing for the Lord, we’d love to welcome you to our choir family.

Roberta Ringers

The Roberta Ringers, our talented bell choir, add a special and beautiful element to worship at Roberta Church. Performing throughout the year, they inspire and uplift with their melodies and harmonies.
Whether you're experienced or new to bell choirs, we welcome anyone who wants to share the joy of
music with us.

Join us and be part of this wonderful group as we glorify the Lord through the sound of handbells!

"Then I heard the voice of the Lord saying, 'Whom shall I send? And who will go for us?' And I said, 'Here am I. Send me!'"
— Isaiah 6:8
Methodist Women

The Lydia Ladies Group meets the second Tuesday of each month at 6:30 pm in the Church Fellowship Building. Any lady of the Church is invited to come.

Meetings include prayer, devotion, business meetings and refreshments. Prayer is very important to our group of ladies, and members have secret prayer partners.

These ladies are very active and hold fundraisers to fund their mission projects. Some past fundraisers include bake sales, lunches, dinners, and cookbooks.
Mission Initiatives
The entire program and organization of Global Methodist Women's focus is on missions. Our mission initiatives include:
-
Providing opportunities to grow spiritually
-
Equipping women & girls to be leaders
-
Providing opportunities for our ladies to be the hands and feet of Jesus through the mission projects we undertake to help those in need in our community
Methodist Men

The Roberta Men's Ministry invites all men in our church and community to grow spiritually through various opportunities. We believe that everyone has unique gifts and interests, so we offer a wide range of activities, including prayer groups, Bible studies, retreats, mission work, small groups, teaching Sunday school, youth ministries, scouting, mentoring, and assisting in worship services. Our focus is on reaching out to all men, helping them engage in spiritual growth and discipleship, not just those who attend specific meetings.

Mission
Our mission is to support men in becoming mature disciples of Christ, ready to share the Gospel with others. Our goal is to bring others to Jesus Christ through fellowship, programs, and missions within our church and beyond.

Pathway
Our pathway is a lifelong commitment to spiritual growth. We aim to help men mature as followers of Christ and to pass on their faith to others.

Why is Men’s Ministry Important?
Men lead best by modeling Jesus Christ in their lives, actions, and words. Spiritual maturity is seen in the ability to pass on the faith to others, and men who grow in Christ become strong leaders in their homes and churches. As men mature spiritually, they contribute to a vital, active congregation. Spiritual growth in men leads to family blessings, stewardship, service, outreach, prayer, leadership, and evangelism. When men live surrendered to God, they honor Him and bless many others. Transformed hearts are the result of Christ-centered lives, and this is how we reveal Christ to the world.

Roberta Seniors

The Roberta Senior Group has been gathering for over thirty years! While who started the group remain a mystery, we do know that many of our congregation’s parents and even grandparents were once part of this cherished tradition. Built on a foundation of fellowship, lasting friendships, and, of course, great food, the Roberta Seniors continue to uphold these values today!
The Roberta Seniors love their adventures, returning to favorite destinations each year while also exploring new places. Every trip is filled with great fellowship, delicious food, and meaningful moments. We always enjoy a heartfelt devotional, and when we gather for breakfast, we're even treated to a couple of uplifting songs! There's always room for new adventures—come join us!

Worship & Evangelism
The Worship Committee is dedicated to enhancing the spiritual life of our congregation through meaningful worship services. Our team collaborates to plan worship experiences that inspire and engage all members of our church community. Through music, prayer, and scripture, we strive to create an atmosphere of reverence, joy, and inspiration. In addition to Sunday morning and Sunday evening services, we also plan special seasonal worship services (Ash Wednesday, Holy Week, Christmas Eve, etc.). We aim to foster a deeper connection to God and one another, ensuring that our worship reflects the diversity and vibrancy of our faith.
Our committee welcomes any who are interested in worship. Join us in our mission to create worship experiences that uplift and transform lives! For more information or to get involved, please contact us through the church office.

Evangelism

The Evangelism Committee is dedicated to sharing the message of Christ’s hope and love with our community and beyond. Our mission is to reach those who have not yet experienced the power of faith, building connections through outreach and meaningful conversations.

We organize events, programs, and initiatives to engage people in various ways—through community service, public events, and personal interactions. Our goal is to create a welcoming space where individuals can explore their faith and find a supportive community.

We believe every member plays a part in spreading the Gospel. We invite you to join us in this important mission. Together, we can share the joy and hope that come from knowing Christ. For more information or to get involved, please contact the church office.

Missions Ministries
Esther's Heart - Backpacks of Hope Program

Hundreds of children in the Charlotte-Mecklenburg and Cabarrus County School Systems only eat at school. Esther’s Heart provides meals for these under-privileged school children while they are home on the weekends.

Roberta Church collects donations to help fill these backpacks weekly. We also have the privilege of going and helping to pack the backpacks. Very rewarding! Join us next time we serve!

Please, visit our Mission wall, there are bins designated for Esther’s Heart along with suggestions for donations.

This incredible ministry reflects Christ’s love by empowering individuals to overcome challenges and celebrate their unique abilities. As a church, we are proud to partner with Wings of Eagles Ranch in their mission to make a meaningful impact on the lives of those they serve.

Through compassionate care, spiritual guidance, and support, this home offers a foundation of hope, healing, and the promise of a brighter future.
The Children’s Home not only meets the physical and emotional needs of these young lives but also nurtures their faith, teaching them about the boundless love of Jesus Christ. At Roberta Church, we are committed to supporting this vital mission, helping to create a space where children can grow, thrive, and feel God’s presence in their lives.

Christmas Ministries
Operation Christmas Child: Sharing God’s Love Around the World
At Roberta Church, we are honored to participate annually in Samaritan’s Purse Operation Christmas Child. Together, we pack shoeboxes filled with toys, games, school supplies, hygiene items, and heartfelt notes for children in need around the globe—many of whom might otherwise receive nothing for Christmas.

But this mission is about more than gifts; it’s about sharing the greatest gift of all: the love of Jesus Christ. Each shoebox not only brings joy and hope to a child but also provides an opportunity for them to hear the Gospel and learn about Jesus’ unconditional love.

Through this initiative, we extend the light of Christ to children and their families, impacting lives in ways we may never fully see but trust God to work through. Join us in this powerful mission of love and faith!

Ringing the Bells: Spreading Hope with the Salvation Army
This year, Roberta Church is once again partnering with the Salvation Army to ring the bells and spread hope throughout our community. With every cheerful chime and every donation collected, we are helping to make a difference in the lives of those facing hardship, ensuring they have access to vital resources like food, shelter, and support during challenging times.

This simple act of service is a powerful way to live out our faith, reminding others of the love and compassion of Jesus Christ. By volunteering our time and hearts, we not only ring in the sounds of the season but also echo the call to serve and care for others in need.
We invite you to join us in this joyful mission—because together, we can share God’s light and bring hope to those who need it most.

The Giving Tree: Spreading Joy and Meeting Needs
At Roberta Church, the Giving Tree is more than just a holiday tradition—it’s a tangible way we share Christ’s love and generosity with our community. Each year, the Giving Tree helps collect money and essential items to support a variety of local charities, bringing hope and relief to those in need.
In addition to aiding local organizations, the Giving Tree also holds a special place in our hearts as we honor and care for our Golden Seniors, ensuring they feel cherished and supported during the holiday season and beyond.
Through this initiative, we come together as a church family to be the hands and feet of Jesus, providing practical help and heartfelt encouragement to our neighbors. Join us in making a difference—one gift, one act of kindness, one life at a time.
